The Monsoon Magic

The West Ghats or Sahyadri (Mountain of Patience) Range is the largest mountain range in India after the Himalayas. In the north of Maharashtra, the range is called Sahyadri and in Kerala, Sahya Parvatham. With the onset of the Indian monoon, Sahyadri preens like a beautiful maiden. The meadows turn lush green, the flowers sprout everywhere and the lakes fill with sparkling clear water. Trekking in the Sahyadris during the monsoons offers moments of pure bliss. Rajeev Ranade  offers us an enchanting armchair peek into the gorgeous beauty of Sahayadris.
